Dr. Barias is a board-certified specialist in prosthodontics. She received her dental degree from New York University College of Dentistry and completed a one year residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Lutheran Medical Center in New York City where she earned the award for Excellence in Implant Dentistry. She then went on to complete her specialty in Prosthodontics at University of Illinois Chicago where she furthered her training on conventional and implant supported restorations.

In addition to private practice, Dr. Barias holds hospital appointment as a prosthodontist at the BC Cancer Agency, where she is engaged by the unique oral rehabilitation challenges of cancer patients.  A believer in helping the profession maintain ethical practice and standards, she maintains a commitment to organized dentistry. 

 

She is an active board member of the Dental Specialist Society and the BC Society of Prosthodontists as well as a member of the Registration Committee at the College of Dental Surgeons.  Dr. Barias also remains active with continuing education and mentorship
