Dr. Nguyen is a Canadian and American board-certified specialist in prosthodontics. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Montreal in 2006, graduated Phi Kappa Phi for her Master of Sciences and Certificate in Advanced Education in Prosthodontics at the University of Maryland in 2009, and continued with a Fellowship in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics and Oral Oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Centre in 2010.
 

Dr. Nguyen is an assistant professor in prosthodontics at UBC, and has her clinical practice as a maxillofacial prosthodontist at the British Columbia Cancer Agency. She is the Provincial Practice Leader for the Prosthodontics Division at the British Columbia Cancer Agency and Director of the Provincial Complex Prosthodontics Program.

Besides practice, she is the current President for the Association of Prosthodontists of Canada, Director for Region 7 of the American College of Prosthodontists and Chair of the Baker Teaching Award for the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics. She is also a board examiner for the Prosthodontics specialty exam of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
